The Department of Arabic Language at the Faculty of Education–Al‑Awainiya is considered one of the college’s key academic pillars. It undertakes the mission of preparing teachers and researchers who possess solid linguistic, literary, and pedagogical competencies. The department combines a firm grounding in the Arabic language and its sciences—grammar, morphology, rhetoric, literature, and criticism—with the application of the latest educational trends and modern teaching methods, ensuring graduates capable of effective teaching, rigorous scientific research, and community service. The department is keen to develop students’ skills in reading, analysis, academic writing, and oral communication, while strengthening their sense of linguistic and cultural identity.

Mission
The Department of Arabic Language at the Faculty of Education–Al‑Awainiya seeks to prepare specialized educational cadres in the Arabic language and its literature, capable of employing linguistic, literary, and pedagogical knowledge in teaching, scientific research, and community service, in accordance with quality standards and academic accreditation.
